Smart Route is a rare or complex route made up of separate tickets. Smart Routes are marked with a green “S” in Kupi.com.
When you are looking for a ticket for a non-standard route with journey times, websites can only offer you flights that can be issued in one ticket. These are usually flights on the same airline with compatible fares.
The suggested routes are not always possible. Smart Routes were invented so that you don’t have to think through the transfer points yourself and order sections of the journey being processed by separate orders, combining flights by transfer time, calculating the time for receiving and re-depositing baggage, going through check-in and passport and visa control.
Kupi.com’s smart search engine will offer you Smart Routes made up of individual tickets from different airlines at the lowest fares. One order can contain the cheapest tickets of carriers of different levels — from low-cost carriers to premium carriers.
Advantages of Smart Routes:
— They are much more profitable than orders with single tickets;
— Traveling with Smart Transfer, you can have time to see a new city between flights.
On the search page, you can enable the filter by stops and select one you haven’t been to yet.
What to consider:
– During the stop, you will need to sign up for the next flight and, in some cases, collect and reclaim baggage.
Consider in advance how long it will take you to stop (for example, depending on whether you plan to fly with baggage). At the departure airport of your first departure, check the possibility of signing up to your final destination and what you will do if you stop.
— Transit visa will be required in visa countries.
If you are in doubt about the availability of the necessary documents, contact the consulate of the country where the stop is to be made before buying tickets.
— Each Smart Route ticket may have its own Refund and Exchange terms. This should be taken into account if one of the flights is canceled or rescheduled.
Some Smart Route tickets may be non-refundable and others may be subject to airline penalties for refusal – each ticket has its own penalty.
